FAQ's
Q: Why don’t you sell avocados, limes or pineapples?

A: We are a local-only market. All produce has to be grown within 150 miles of Fort Worth. We do not allow re-sellers or foods imported from other areas.

  • Avocados, limes, pineapples, etc. do not grow well in North Texas
  • We do not allow re-sellers. All produce must be grown and sold by the farmer

Q: Where are the strawberries, peaches, blueberries, zucchini, corn?
A: This is probably not the right season for that produce to be harvested in North Texas.

Q: What happened to the people who sold honey (jam, etc.)?
A: Some vendors have passed away (honey man) or retired (jam man). We are looking for new vendors to replace them.

Q: Is this market or any growers organic?
A: This market is not certified organic. While at this time, none of our current members are certified organic, some do grow without use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Ask each farmer about his/her growing practices.

A: We have a vendor application available online at www.cowtownfarmersmarket.com.
